Stratifikasi Sosial Masyarakat Petani Cengkeh di Kindang Bulukumba

Abstract

This study aims to find out: 1) The basis for the formation of social stratification of clove farmers in Kindang Sub-district, Bulukumba Regency, 2) Pattern of social interaction formed in clove farming communities in Kindang District, Bulukumba District with different stratification. In this study using desktiptif type qualitative research with data collection techniques carried out using observation, interview, and documentation methods involving 13 (thirteen) informants. Based on the results of the study show that: 1) The basis for the formation of social staratification of the clove farmers community in Kindang Sub-District, Bulukumba Regency, there are two factors, the first factor is land ownership and the second factor is wealth and income. 2) Patterns of social interaction formed in clove farming communities in Kindang Sub-district, Bulukumba District, despite differences in existing modifications, namely interaction patterns which tend to still see different strata differences where the highest intensity of interaction is only in the middle class, while the most under the intensity of the interaction only in the middle class, it can be seen from the interaction between the land owner and the picking worker where the interaction patterns that are intertwined between the two are included in closed interactions where both of them are intermediaries in their interactions.
